Legacy of Visitation & Excursions: Islamic Pedagogy for Universal Adoption
In a heartwarming display of compassion and learning, the teachers and students of Markaz Ihyaahi Sunnah Waikhmaadi Bid’ah, located in Line Chairman, Naibawa/Yanlemu – Kumbotso, Kano, embarked on a transformative visit to Nassarawa Children’s Home and Audu Bako Zoological Garden on the 28th of December 2023.
The purpose of their visit to Nassarawa Children’s Home was deeply rooted in nurturing the students’ faith and instilling in them a profound appreciation for the blessings of Allah.
Ustadh Ibraheem Amosa (Albaany), the Director of Markaz Ihyaahi Sunnah Waikhmaadi Bid’ah, led the delegation with a mission to kindle kindness and empathy in the hearts of the students. They aimed not only to support and bring joy to the children in the Home but also to cultivate a culture of compassion and benevolence among the students.
The excursion wasn’t merely a day of leisure but a profound opportunity for these young minds to witness the wonders of Allah’s creation.
The students delved into the captivating world of Audu Bako Zoological Garden, where they gained a practical understanding of wildlife management and the significance of coexisting with the diverse creatures created by Allah.
During their visit to Nassarawa Children’s Home, Ustadh Ibraheem Amosa (Albaany) symbolized the spirit of generosity by presenting cash donations, food items, Tawheed books, and heartfelt gifts to the children. His acknowledgment of the support received from various entities, including Adolescent Health and Information Projects (AHIP), Late I.G. Maryam, Markaz Mallams, and Old Students, echoed the collective effort in nurturing these acts of kindness and charity.
Ustadh Ibraheem Amosa (Albaany) emphasized that such visits and excursions are integral components of their curriculum, serving as practical supplements to the students’ theoretical knowledge of Islamic teachings and sustainability.
He passionately called upon other Islamiyyahs to adopt similar practices, urging them to expose their students to real-world experiences in hospitals, special schools, prisons, children’s homes, zoos, industries, and more.
He underscored that these experiences serve as a cornerstone of Islamic education, urging a shift toward such practical teachings for the broader benefit of society.
Mallama Ruqayah Al Ameen, a student at Markaz, expressed gratitude for over 13 years of free Islamic education at Markaz Ihyaahi Sunnah Waikhmaadi Bid’ah. Her heartfelt appreciation is extended to the dedicated Mallams and educators, encapsulating the essence of their revival of Islamic heritage.
This extraordinary endeavor by Markaz Ihyaahi Sunnah Waikhmaadi Bid’ah stands as a testament to the fusion of education, charity, and compassion, nurturing a generation grounded in faith, empathy, and practical understanding.
